Lok Sabha adjourned twice on Babhali river dispute issue

The Lok Sabha was adjourned twice on Wednesday on the Babhali river dispute issue between Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra. The Speaker, Mrs Meira Kumar adjourned the house till 1130 hours as members belonging to Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Shiv Sena trooped into the well of the house raising slogans. When the House reassembled at 11.30 hrs these members carrying placards once again trooped into the well of the House even as the Parliamentary Affairs and Water Resources Minister, Mr.Pawan Kumar Bansal stood up to make a statement. There were heated exchanges between the treasury benches and the slogan shouting members. The Speaker finally adjourned till noon.
