The proceedings of the Lok Sabha was disrupted today following uproar on issues of Mumbai violence and black money. The house was adjourned for the day as members of the Shiv Sena and the BJP shouted slogans in the well of the house disrupting the proceedings when it reassembled at 2 p.m. Earlier the house was adjourned till 12 pm on the same issue, when the house reassembled at 12 pm, the Chair allowed Shiv Sena member Anant Gite to speak during Zero hour. Mr. Gite voiced his protest against the violent incidents at the Azad Maidan in Mumbai while Shiv sena members displayed newspaper reports, and photographs on the incident. Mr. Gite alleged, that government inaction had led to wide spread violence.
The house witnessed uproar as Shiv sena members trooped into the well,joined by the members of the BJP. As shouting of slogans continued, the Chair adjourned the house till 2 pm.
The Loksabha was earlier adjourned till 12 noon on the black money issue. As soon as the House met for the day, the BJP members were on their feet demanding suspension of question hour to discuss the black money issue. As the question hour began, BJP members trooped into the well of the House shouting slogans. In spite of repeated requests from the Chair to return to their seats, the BJP members continued shouting of slogans and the House was adjourned till 12 noon. The Lok sabha today witnessed repeated adjournments, first till 12 noon, then till 2 pm and finally for the day.
