Lok Sabha adjourned for the day, Rajya Sabha till 2 pm

The Lok Sabha has been adjourned for the day and the Rajya Sabha till 2 PM on different issues including bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.

As soon as the Lok Sabha reassembled at noon after the first adjournment, noisy scenes again erupted.

The house adopted the Supplementary Demands for Grants in respect of General Budget 2013-14, moved by Finance Minister P. Chidambaram, by a voice vote.

Railway Minister Mallikarjun Kharge tabled the Supplementary demands related to his ministry for the current financial year, which was later adopted by voice vote.

Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Kumari Selja introduced the Amendment Bill to prevent atrocities against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

As the pandemonium continued Speaker Meira Kumar adjourned the house for the day.

The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned for the second time till 2 PM amidst slogan shouting by members on different issues.

Earlier, the House was adjourned for an hour till noon.

As soon as the House reassembled at noon, BSP, JDU, DMK and TDP members rushed to the well raising slogans and displaying placards.

BSP members have been opposing the closure of relief camps in riot-hit Muzaffarnagar.

TMC members were on their feet demanding the sacking of the West Bengal Human Rights Commission Chairman, retired Justice A.K. Ganguly.

Members from Andhra Pradesh trooped into the well in support of their demand for United Andhra Pradesh.

Tamil Nadu members also rushed to the well of the House demanding the release of Tamil fishermen.

JD(U) members were agitated over the latter written by Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on the Naxal issue.

After laying of the papers, Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurein adjourned the
House amidst noisy scenes.
