Locusts pose threat to crops in western parts of MP

In Madhya Pradesh, huge swarms of locusts from Rajasthan have entered western parts of the state and posing a threat to crops in these areas. District administration and agricultural scientists have issued guidelines for farmers to prevent and tackle locust.<br />'' <br />'' Six swarms of locusts have so far been noticed in Madhya Pradesh. As per the information, from Rajasthan, locusts entered Madhya Pradesh via Neemuch and have advanced to Mandsaur, Ratlam, Ujjain, Dewas and Harda. Usually, the insects eat up all crops in a field they attack. However, right now fields in Madhya Pradesh have minimum crops since it is summer time.<br />''  <br />
