In Mumbai, three bogies of an empty local train derailed in neighbouring Thane this morning, disrupting services on the Central line. Central Railway PRO A K Jain said the train, which was empty, was going towards Karjat from Thane yard when three of its bogies jumped off the track. No injury has been reported. Jain said all local trains on the slow line between Thane and suburban Mulund have been diverted to the fast track. He added that trains are running late by 15-20 minutes on the track as the restoration work is still on. Trains between Thane and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST) have also been cancelled for two hours. Jain said that services will be normal by 12 in the noon.
