It is a proud for royal city Patiala that Sandeep Sharma, a local boy has been selected for the Indian Cricket Team. Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has been announced the Indian Cricket team, yesterday. The Indian cricket team will tour Zimbabwe in July where team will play three One-Day Internationals (ODI) and two Twenty-20 Internationals. After Pankaj Dharmani and Navjot Sindhu, right arm medium pacer, Sandeep is third player from the city who find place in Indian Cricket team.Twenty-two-year Sandeep, who comes from a middle-class family, first shot into the limelight when he took 12 wickets in the under-19 World Cup in Australia in 2012. His fine performance in the Ranjit Trophy and the IPL matches for the last couple of years, definitely contributes to boost his career.Ever since the news of his selection broke, his father, mother and three brothers are busy in receiving congratulatory calls. His first coach, Kamaljeet Singh of Multipurpose Senior Secondary School, Patiala under whom he took initial coaching, is also elated with his achievement.
