English club Liverpool defeated Spanish club Villareal, Two Nil in the second semi-final of the UEFA Champions League, last night. The two sides played out a goalless first half. 

Liverpool took the lead through a Villareal own goal in the 53rd minute. Sadio Mane doubled the lead in quick succession to put the English side in an advantageous position at the second leg of Semi-final to take place next week.
