The literacy rate among Divyangs in the country has increased by over five per cent. According to 2011 Census released by the Registrar General of India today on Divyang population, out of the total divyang population of 2.68 crore in 2011, one crore 46 lakh are literates, amounting to 54.47 per cent. <br/><br/>A decade ago, the percentage of literates among divyang population was 49.3 per cent. Not only the percentage of literates has increased for both males and females during the decade 2001 to 2011, but also their attainment in higher educational levels has improved.
