Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Sanjeev Kumar Balyan today said, the list of recognised veterinary colleges in the country has gone up from 36 to 44 in the last two years. Highlighting the achievements of Veterinary Council of India, Mr Balyan said annually around 3,400 students are being admitted in these colleges ever since NDA came to power, compared to nearly 2,300 students earlier. He said, there will be increase of 700 seats in 35 veterinary colleges after implementation of Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education, MSVE 2016.
