The Tamil Nadu government has said prohibition of alcohol is possible in the state only if it is implemented in the whole country by the Centre and also compensates the revenue loss due to liquor ban to the states. <br/><br/>Replying to a question in the state Assembly during the debate, Minister of Electricity and Prohibition Minister Natham Viswanathan said when the adjoining states are not implementing prohibition, it is not feasible to introduce it in Tamil Nadu. It will lead to flow of illicit liquor apart from transfer of revenue to other states, he said.
