<span style="color: #222222;">Students across the country have been affected by school closures since the outbreak of COVID-19.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Due to quick adoption of technology based system, students living in urban areas were shifted to online learning.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Though the State Government has made similar suggestion for rural areas, the technological short comings created obstructions in the process.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Hence, large number of children living in rural parts of the state still facing difficulties to continue their education amidst the prolonged closure of schools in their vicinity.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Same was the case with children from tribal habitats and poor families in Nashik district.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Due to the poverty, their families are not in a position to provide them smart phone devices to access online classes.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">To address the issue, District Administrative Officer Lina Bansod appealed to the citizens to provide smart phones for the education of these children.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Response, Lions Club of Nashik donated 36 smart phones to tribal camps in Surgana Taluka of Nasik district.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In Dhule district also, they donated two smart phone to one such Adivasi settlment.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Nashik Zilla Parishad has thanked the Lions Club for their generous Philanthropy for the education of tribal students.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Lions Club doctor Vikrant Jadhav spoke to AIR about the same.</span><br />''  <br />
