Lionel Messi sensationally announced his retirement from international football after Chile beat Argentina in the final of Copa America this morning in penalty shootout. Messi's dramatic announcement followed Argentina's third loss in a major final since 2014. The 29-year-old said it hurts not to be a champion. He said he did all he could do for his country but for him the national team is over.Messi, however, he will continue to play his club football for Spanish champions F.C.
