In Madhya Pradesh, widespread showers were recorded in many parts of the state during the last 24 hours. AIR Bhopal correspondent reports that fourteen people were killed in different parts of the state when lightening struck them.Most parts of Ujjain Indore, Gwalior and Bhopal divisions experienced heavy to moderate rains while other divisions witnessed isolated showers. Nearly a dozen low lying areas of Ujjain were inundated due to incessant rains since last night. Ujjain recorded 15 cm of rains while its Mahidpur block recorded 11 cm of rains. Several parts of capital Bhopal experienced showers this evening. Six people were killed in Katni district when lightening struck them while eight other people were killed in incidents of lightening in other parts of the state. The Met department has predicted rains in many places in Gwalior, Chambal and Indore divisions and at some places in other divisions during the next 24 hours.
