Light & moderate rains lash UP; the Ganga & Ghagra touch danger level

Almost all parts of Uttar Pradesh received light and moderate rain during last twenty four hours the met department said.However the Central water commission said that most of rivers are on falling trend in the state. Except sharda at Palian kalanin Lakhimpur Khiri still flowing above the danger mark while Ganga is rising in Kanpur and Gaghra is rising in Barabanki districts.Due to last week risen water level of Gaghra in Barabanki, the erosion was taking place around Adampur river band has now been repaired, the central water commission saidDuring last twenty four hours the western part of Uttar Pradesh received more rain than eastern UP. Jalesar in Agra recorded 35 mm rain fall ,while some areas in Jhansi received 36 mm rain .Kayamganj received 30 mm rain ,Bareilly about 5 mm and Aligarh about 9 mm rain fall during last twenty four hours.Ballia received 23 mm and a part of Varanasi 16 mm rain fall during last twenty four hours.Rain and thunder shower will occurred in isolated places of east UP and few places of western UP during next twenty four hours the Met department said.
