Life has returned to normalcy in Mumbai as the intensity of rainfall reduced over the night. Normal life was thrown out of gear in the city on Wednesday after incessant heavy rains led to water logging in several areas.<br/><br/>According to Met department, till 5.30am Colaba station of south Mumbai recorded 39.3 mm of rainfall while suburban Santacruz station recorded 20.3 mm of rainfall. The weather bureau has predicted that spells of rain or thundershowers accompanied by strong gusty winds would occur in parts of city and suburbs with possibility of heavy rain in some areas.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, government authorities have issued high tide alert and cautioned fishermen not to venture out into the seas.<br/><br/>AIR Mumbai Correspondent reports, life has limped back to normalcy in Mumbai as there was no intense rainfall over the night. However, the city continued to receive intermittent rains on Thursday morning.<br/><br/>The disaster control room of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said that both the suburban rail services and road traffic are running normally as there were no fresh reports of waterlogging in the city.<br/><br/>The weather bureau has forecast heavy rainfall, accompanied with thundershowers and strong winds, in parts of city and its suburbs for the next twenty four hours.<br/><br/>Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Chhagan Bhujbal on Wednesday informed that the death toll from landslides, flooding and electrocution has touched 46 across the state till now. He also said that though water tankers are still in operation in some parts of the state, catchment areas have received good rainfall.<br/><br/>
