In Uttar Pradesh, life returned to normal in Muzaffarnagar as the city remained peaceful. No untoward incident has been reported after curfew was completely lifted. Chairman of National Commission for Minorities, Wajahat Habibullah will visit violence affected areas of western Uttar Pradesh and interact with displaced people today. More than 40,000 people have taken shelter in relief camps.
Our correspondent reports the administration did not allow entry of several top political leaders including BJP's Uma Bharati, Rashtriya Lok Dal chief and union Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh and Majlis President and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi citing the sensitive law and order situation.
