Life is returning to normal in flood affected areas of Bihar. There has been a considerable fall in the water levels of most North Bihar rivers including the Kosi and Adhwara. Due to this, flood waters are receding in Madhubani, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur districts. However, some villages of Darbhanga, Sheohar and Sitamarhi are still inundated by flood waters. Distribution of relief material is going on. Health officials are spraying DDT to prevent a possible outbreak of waterborne diseases in flood affected areas.
