After a spell of heavy rain last night, life is slowly returning to normal in Mumbai. Rail and road traffic continues to remain affected while air traffic is running as per schedule. Meanwhile, rains have subsided with the Colaba weather station recording just 3.1 mm of rain and the Santacruz weather station recording just 24.9 mm of rain in the last 12 hours.As per the forecast for the next 24 hours, MET department has said that intermittent showers in parts of Mumbai and suburbs; one or two spells may be heavy.Earlier in the day, heavy water logging was reported in many parts of Mumbai. Incidents of tree falling were also reported. A life was also lost when a four storied dilapidated building collapsed in Mumbai’s Malad area.
