Life is limping back to normal in Leh district after five days of flood caused by cloudburst. People have started come back to their home with the support of their relatives and friends. They have started removing debris from their home. Leh market is lively with people starting their businesses. Buddhist monks are holding mass prayers at the flood affected sites for the early recovery of injured persons and peace for those killed in the flood. Meanwhile, with the support of army, ITBP and CRPF district administration is working on war footing to restore the roads and providing relief to affected people. Indian Air Force rescued 81 foreigners and six tour guides from Zanskar Valley.As per the latest information, the death toll in Friday's cloud burst event has risen to 165 and 400 people are still missing. Officials said that 200 people, including foreigners, are still stranded in various places in the affected area.Sniffer dogs, have been pressed into service to look for survivors. Security forces were taking the help of heavy duty bulldozers and other machines to clear the rubble.
