In Andhra Pradesh, normal life in Telangana region continued to be affected due to the ongoing General Strike by state Government employees, Singareni Coal Workers and Teachers. The state Government has been taking measures to reduce the impact of the strike that entered 19th day today. Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has directed the state authorities to procure 500 additional buses to improve transport services that crippled in the region due to the strike by state owned Road Transport Corporation employees. They have also been directed to ensure additional power supply to meet about 235 million units of power shortage every day.Measures are also being taken to ensure distribution of rice and other commodities through Public Distribution System in view of the ensuing festival season.
