Libyan rebels have seized two small towns south of the capital Tripoli following a six hour gun battle with forces loyal to Muammar Gaddafi. Rebels said on Wednesday, they had gained control of the towns, both within 100 kilometres of the capital. In a separate development, Nato chief said that allied war planes had hit 2700 targets in Libya since Nato began air strikes in March. He said, Gaddafi's war machine has been considerably degraded. He said, it has been clearly stated by the international community that he should leave power.
