The Libyan Government has said an American decision to deploy armed drone aircraft as part of the NATO operation over Libya will lead to more civilian deaths. The Libyan Deputy Foreign Minister, Khalid Qayyim said that more air-strikes would undermine any claims by the US and NATO that they were trying to support a democracy in Libya. Earlier, the US Defence Secretary Robert Gates said the pilot less predator drones armed with missiles would target Col. Gaddafi's forces more effectively. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton meanwhile, sought assistance from the African Union in arriving at a political solution in war-torn Libya. British Prime Minister David Cameron has insisted that NATO isn't edging toward the deployment of ground troops in Libya despite the decision by several European nations to send military staff to assist rebel forces.Italy, France and Britain are sending experienced combat advisers to help train and organize Libya's opposition forces as they struggle to loosen Moammar Gadhafi's grip on power. Meanwhile, a ship carrying more than a thousand people evacuated from the besieged Libyan city of Mishrata has arrived in the rebel stronghold of Benghazi, the second such evacuation this week. Those on board included many wounded Libyans, some in a serious condition and hundreds of migrant workers from African countries, as well as Pakistan and the Philippines.
