The Libyan terrorist group Ansar al-Sharia, which is linked to Al-Qaeda has announced its "dissolution" in a communique published online. Ansar al-Sharia is regarded as a terrorist organisation by the UN and the United States.<br/><br/>Washington accuses the group behind the September 11, 2012 attack on the US consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi, Libya in which ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans were killed.<br/><br/>In its communique Ansar al-Sharia yesterday said it has been weakened by the fighting and most of its members joining the Islamic State terror group.
