In Union Territory Ladakh, Lieutenant Governor RK Mathur flagged off a mobile medical unit from Leh, today, to provide specialized medical services to remote parts of the district.  Two teams of Mobile Medical Units with eight specialist doctors of SNM Hospital, are scheduled to visit Igoo and Nimoo villages.<br />'' <br />'' For vastly spread Leh, the district headquartered SNM Hospital is the only medical facility for specialist medical attention. However, due to strict lockdown many patients are not able to visit for routine checkups and to consult for their health complaints.<br />'' <br />'' Lieutenant Governor Mr. Mathur said that the mobile units will also facilitate the health department to track all the areas for COVID-19 screening in the region. Officials have a prepared roaster and the next teams would go to Durbuk and Nyoma for three days.<br />'' <br />'' RK Mathur suggested starting similar services in Kargil district and for people in town areas as well.<br />'' <br />''<br />''Leh District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Motup Dorey said, Lieutenant Governor advised us to take the specialized medical services to the doorsteps of public, instead patients coming to hospital during the lockdown. In the coming fortnight the arrangements are made to visit all villages and serve the people.<br />
