<span style="color: #222222;">Puducherry Lieutenant Governor Dr Kiran Bedi has constituted a search committee to select a suitable Vice-Chancellor for the Puducherry Technological University.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports, Lieutenant Governor Dr Kiran Bedi, who is the Chancellor of the University appointed Dr Ramgopal Rao, Director, IIT, Delhi as Convener and Dr V Jagadeesh Kumar, Professor IIT Madras, Secretary to Government (Higher and Technical Education) Puducherry as members of the committee. The search committee is expected to submit its recommendations as early as possible.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">As per the Act passed by the Legislative Assembly with the concurrence of the Central government, the Puducherry Engineering College, has become the Puducherry Technological University with effect from 5th September, 2020 and the Perunthalaivar Kamarajar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Karaikal the constituent institution of the University.</span><br />''
