Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal today reviewed the situation in the wake of an unprecedented protest by Delhi Police personnel following clashes with lawyers. <br />''<br />''Special Commissioner (Intelligence) Praveer Ranjan briefed Mr Baijal about the prevailing situation and also on related high court orders. The LG also directed Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Dev to ensure that the best possible medical treatment is provided to the injured advocates.<br />''<br />''Thousands of police personnel today protested outside the Police Headquarters demanding action against those involved in an attack on their colleague outside Tis Hazari court on Saturday. Delhi Police Special Commissioner Satish Golcha said, all the policemen who were injured in Tis Hazari Clash will be given a compensation of at least 25 thousand rupees.<br />''<br />''The Delhi High Court has taken a dim view of the violence, ordering a judicial probe under the aegis of retired Judge S P Garg. The court also transferred two senior police officers, suspended two others and ordered compensation for three injured lawyers. <br />''<br />''Delhi Police have also submitted a report to Home Ministry on the police-lawyers issue.
