In UP, several rivers including Ghaghra, Saryu, Sharda and Ganga have started rising due to additional release of water from barrages and intermittent rain in catchment areas.

AIR Gorakhpur correspondent reports that over 50 villages and thousands of acres of cultivated areas have submerged in flood water.
