Pakistan-based terrorist outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba, LeT poses serious threat to both India and the United States and a global effort is required to eliminate it. This was disclosed in the National Strategy for Counter-Terrorism released by the White House. The report says, LeT constitutes a formidable terrorist threat to Indian, US, and other Western interests in South Asia and potentially elsewhere. In its 19-page report, the White House said, the US counter terrorism efforts against LeT will continue to focus on ensuring that the group lacks thecapability to conduct or support operations detrimental to US interests or regional stability, including escalating tensions between India and Pakistan.
