LeT, JeM get support from across India's western borders: Army Chief

Army Chief General Dalbir Singh today said spread of IS terror group, particularly through social media, has thrown up challenges of global and regional security. Addressing the Centre for Land Warfare Studies, CLAWS international seminar in New Delhi, the Army Chief said terrorist groups like Lashkar e Taiba and Jaish e Mohammed get active support from across India's western borders. He said these groups can no longer be dismissed as regional manifestations of violence. <br/><br/>He said these groups take advantage of international connected systems of finance, communication and transit to retain flexibility of reaching any part of globe. General Singh said it is necessary for international community to fight the menace as one by sharing intel, and adopting training techniques from each other.
