<br/>A top Lashker-e-Toiba commander and a policeman were killed and four others injured in an overnight gunbattle in Sopore town of North Kashmir. Police said, the gun battle took place at Bhagat Mohalla, 55 kms from Srinagar, when militants opened fire on a search party of special operations group (SOG) of the local police. <br/> <br/>A policeman succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. One militant was killed and four others including two civilians, a policeman and a security personnel were injured. The Police said, the body of the militant, believed to be a Pakistani national, was recovered from the house Tuesday morning. <br/> <br/>The slain militant identified as top LET commander Zubair was involved in several killings, including the gunning down of four CRPF personnel earlier this year. Search operations were continuing when reports last came in. <br/>
