LeT commander killed in encounter in J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, the Lashkar-e-Toiba Divisional Commander claimed to have been shot dead by Security Forces in an encounter in Doba Dhok forest area of Surankote in border district of Poonch yesterday has turned out to be a civilian and not the Lashkar militant. According to 16 Core Army Official, there seems to be some foul play as false inputs were provided to the security forces regarding presence of militants following which a trap was laid on Saturday night and one person was killed on Sunday morning. He said a jawan of Special Operation Group (SOG) and of Territorial Army (TA) provided the information to the security forces.Police and Army have jointly initiated an enquiry into the conspiracy and as to, how the civilian was trapped in the gun battle. The official spokesman further said fast enquiry is being conducted and strict action would be taken against the guilty.Security Forces yesterday had claimed to have killed Lashkar's Divisional Commander Abu Usman alias Abu Adnan in a gunbattle in Surankote area of Poonch.
