Cycling events add to several other adventure sports activities in Ladakh. UCI World Cup Eliminator event is organized by the UT Ladakh Police in association with City Mountainbike and Cycling Federation of India, CFI. With this, Leh will be among world-famous cycling event venues like Abu Dhabi, Barcelona, Paris, and India will be on the cycling chart among Germany, France, Sweden, Indonesia, Brazil, Belgium, Turkey, etc.<br />''<br />''Giving the details of the event, Ladakh Police Additional Director General of Police, SS Khandare said the UCI World Cup Eliminator cycling event put Leh as an ultimate cycling event destination. He said, artificial obstacles in the 500-meter long lap will thrill the viewers. Mr. Kristofbruyneel said, about 100 participants are expected including 70 local cyclists.<br />''<br />''Registered cyclists will ride one lap to qualify. In the qualifying rounds, 32 cyclists will be selected from men and women categories. Among the selected, best qualifying timers would get the easiest heat of One kilometer competing Four best timing cyclists. Two best from the four go to the next round. Similar rounds continue till all applicants take part. Big Finals and small finals will be conducted, to get the winners declared in both men and women categories with eight rankings and the rest will get qualifying timing points.<br />''<br />''Similar Cycling events will be conducted for local people and kids to encourage them to participate in cycling events.
