Since, the launch of the mission, over 13 thousand functional household tap connections, FHTCs, are being provided in the Leh district.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Considering the freezing temperatures in the winters, Leh Deputy Commissioner Shrikant Balasaheb Suse appealed to the executing agencies and the public to identify the problems in water supply and measures and remedies to ensure water supply without freezing.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">Mr Shrikant also appealed for community participation, water use efficiency, and source strengthening during the Jal Jeevan Maah. He said, during the Maah, awareness camps, the opening of bank accounts by Pani Samitis, a Social audit of JJM, and other activities will be taken up.</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;"><br />''</p>''<p style="margin: 0px; text-align: justify;">He also said, to encourage public participation and speedy completion, fast-tracking certification of Har Ghar Jal villages, grievance redressal, visits by water quality experts, and orientation workshops on pre and post-implementation phases will be conducted.
