In Jammu and Kashmir, Leh and its surrounding areas and higher reaches in Leh-Ladakh have experienced the third major snow fall of the winter season today. Cold wave conditions have further intensified with fresh snow fall which is still continuing. Officials in Leh said, due to snow fall, traffic on the world's highest motorable road at Khardong La has been closed which connects Nubra valley with Leh city. Srinagar-Leh National Highway and Leh-Manali road have already been closed last month due to heavy snowfall in the area. <br/>
