Leh DC issues decontainment order of Chuchot Gongma village

<span style="color: #222222;">In Ladakh, Leh Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar has issued decontainment order of Chuchot Gongma village today.<br />'' <br />'' This village adjacent to Leh town, is under containment since 8th of March as first Covid-19 active positive case was reported from here.  <br />'' <br />'' Last active positive case from this village was tested negative on 3rd April. However, as per the Covid-19 containment policy, after 28 days of last case testing negative the restrictions are lifted.<br />'' <br />'' In the meantime, after testing twice negative three from Kargil and one from Leh  are discharged and now there are total 21 active positive cases are under treatment in Ladakh.  The Union Territory has not reported new active positive cases after 3rd May.<br />'' <br />'' While briefing the media, Ladakh Secretary Commissioner Rigzin Samphel said, UT administration in coordination with the Hill Councils of Leh and Kargil is evacuating stranded passengers from various parts of the country.<br />'' <br />'' On the other hand, Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal wrote to Union Home Secretary  for resumption of Civil Airlines from Bangalore, Delhi, Chandigarh, Jammu and Srinagar to Leh to avoid risky and unsafe road travel.<br />'' <br />''<br />''He said, there are over 30 thousand stranded ladakhis in various parts of the country.</span>
