A colourful rally was brought out from the DC office to Suchitra Sen's house. It included the Deputy Commissioner of Pabna Biswas Rashel Hossain, Police Superintendent Md. Senior journalist Naredsh Madhu , Secretary of Suchitra Sen Sangrakhhon Parisad gave the  welcome speech.<br />''<br />''Daughter of Suchitra Sen, renowned actor Moonmoon Sen delivered a video message on this occasion. She expressed happiness that people of Pabna remembered Suchitra Sen with so much warmth and affection. <br />''<br />''The iconic film actress Suchitra Sen worked in both Bengali and Hindi cinema. Her screen appearances with Uttam Kumar are counted as classics in Bengali cinema. 'Saarey Chuattor', ' Deep Jwele Jai', 'Uttar Falguni', 'Saat Paake Bandha' and 'Pathe Holo Deri' turned her into a legendary figure for film lovers in India and Bangladesh. <br />''<br />''She was the first Bengali actress to get an international award at the Moscow Film Festival in 1963 as best actress for her role in the film 'Saat Paake Bandha'. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 1972 but she refused the 'Dadasaheb Phalke Award' in 2005 to stay out of the public eye. <br />''She passed away in Kolkata on 17 January 2014 at the age of 82. </span><br />
