Left Wing Extremism violence in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand witness substantial decrease in last year: MoS for Home Affairs in Rajya Sabha

<span style="color: #222222;">Left-Wing Extremism violence in Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand has witnessed substantial decrease in the last year. Chhattisgarh has reported a 50 percent decrease while Jharkhand registered a 25 per cent reduction in LWE incidents in the year 2021.<br />'' <br />'' This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanad Rai in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. He said, resolute implementation of National Policy and Action Plan has resulted in consistent decline in the LWE violence and its geographical spread in the country including Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. He said the government is providing funds for operational purposes and capacity building of the LWE affected States under various schemes. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said, for development works in LWE districts throughout the country, the government has taken several specific initiatives in LWE affected States with special thrust on the expansion of road network, improving telecommunication connectivity, skilling, education and financial inclusion.</span><br />
