Left Parties have termed the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee's scheduled meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an attempt to shield the Trinamool Congress leaders facing CBI probe in the chit fund scam and other corruption charges. The Left MPs today protested outside Parliament against the TMC government over the alleged lawlessness in West Bengal. Displaying posters, they also shouted slogans against the ruling party in the state. Talking to reporters, Senior CPI(M) MP Mohammed Salim alleged that the TMC leaders are attacking flood-affected people in West Bengal instead of providing relief to them. He also charged the TMC regime with harassing the media people for reporting against the misdeeds of its leaders and workers.
