In West Bengal, a delegation of the Left parties met the Governor Mr. M. K. Narayanan to request him to intervene in to the post-poll violence in the State. The Left front jointly submitted a memorandum to the Governor saying that 3 of its carders have been killed in the last 48 hours. The Left leaders urged all parties to refrain from violence in the post poll period.
