The West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya on Sunday said that the Left Front is seeking 8th term in office on the basis of good governance. Addressing the media in Kolkata, he said, the Left Front has presented an agenda before the people with focus on agricultural development, industrialization and improved Public Distribution System with rice at two rupees per kg for the poor. Mr. Bhattacharya alleged that a lot of black money is flowing into the coffers of Trinamool Congress and asked the Election Commission to take note of it. Referring to the Prime Minister's address on Saturday at Dum Dum where Dr. Manmohan Singh blamed the West Bengal government for all round failure, Mr. Bhattacharya said, he was surprised by the remark. On the question of Left leader Anil Basu's objectionable comment against Trinamool leader Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister said that Basu was reprimanded for the remark and has been asked to publicly apologize.
