Left Front releases WB Assembly Election Manifesto

In West Bengal, the ruling Left Front will continue land acquisition for industries giving adequate rehabilitation and compensation package to farmers. Releasing the Manifesto for ensuing Assembly Elections, Left Front Chairman Biman Basu said in Kolkata on Wednesday night that despite opposition from various circles, industrial investment in the state has set up a record in last two decades. The main thrust of the manifesto is employment generation and upliftment of the poor peoples especially those below poverty line. The Left Front also promised that rice which is being sold at 2 rupees a kilogram through Public Distribution System will be extended to the families whose income is below 10 thousands rupees per month in next five years.
