Left Front constituent warned not to go public in W Bengal

In West Bengal, the constituent parties of the Left Front have been advised against airing their views in the public domain. The State Left Front Chairman, Mr. Biman Basu said this after a meeting of the Front in Kolkata today. Mr. Basu said that the constituent parties have as much responsibility as its main constituent the CPI(M) in upholding the Front unity. He said that if any Front member wants to discuss about the Government’s working he should address it to either the Chief Minister or the Core Committee of the Front Ministry. He also said that there will be interference in the right of the constituent parties to express their views.<br/>In this meeting it has been decided that like the Bellow Poverty Line (BPL) customers, getting rice at two rupees per KG the other sections should also get cheap food grains. Alongwith this, the State Government has been advised to see to it that essential items like edible oil, sugar and salt are supplied at a cheap rate.
