In West Bengal, opposition Left Front has called a 12 hour Bangala Bandh on 20th of this month in protest of centre's decision on diesel price, LPG subsidy and FDI in multi-brand retail. Announcing this in Kolkata today, the Left Front Chairman Mr. Biman Basu said that the bandh has been called in protest against the anti-people policies of the UPA government.Meanwhile, joint council of Bus Syndicate and Bengal Bus Syndicate have called indefinite bus strike from tomorrow demanding hike of passenger's fare after increase of diesel price. The State Transport Minister Mr. Madan Mitra said that the government will run additional buses in view of the strike called by the private transport operators. He said that the Chief Minster Ms. Mamata Banerjee will review the entire situation arising out of the recent centre's decision on Tuesday.
