Leaders of the Left and other non-BJP opposition parties led by Sitaram Yechury met the President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and submitted a memorandum demanding a JPC probe into the 2G spectrum allocation scam. Mr Yechury later told the waiting media that this is necessary condition to end the impasse in Parliament. He said, the President should use her Constitutional power to ask the government to look into their demand.
