World number one Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia has won the men's singles title in the inaugural Indian Open Super Series badminton championships. In the final at the Siri Fort Complex in New Delhi today, the two-time All England champion prevailed over world number six and third seed Peter Gade Christensen of Denmark in three games. Lee won 21-12, 12-21, 21-15 in a hard-fought contest to pocket the winner's prize of 15,000 U.S. dollars. The Women's singles title was bagged by unseeded Thai girl Porntip Buranaprasertuk. In the final, she upset third seeded Korean Bae Youn Joo in straight games 21-13, 21-16. In an all-Indonesian affair in the mixed doubles final, Tantowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir defeated Fran Kurniawan and Pia Zebadiah Bernadeth 21-18, 23-21. This is Indonesia's first Super Series title of the season.
