Least developed countries conference in New Delhi

Lines of credit, Africa E-connectivity and other development assistance initiatives will be at the centre of discussions in the least developed countries conference being held in New Delhi today. 48 countries are expected to take part in the conference to be inaugurated by the External Affairs Minister Mr. S.M. Krishna. Delegations from US, China and European Union will also participate in the deliberations. The theme is harnessing the positive contribution of South-South Cooperation for progress of least developed countries. The objective of this conference is to provide inputs for the fourth UN least developed countries conference being held in Turkey in May this year.
