Leander Paes, V M Ranjit, Vijaykant Malik & Purav Raja named in India's Davis Cup squad

The All India Tennis Association today announced a depleted team for the Davis Cup tie against South Korea to be held in New Delhi from the 1st to 3rd of next month. The squad has only one senior player in Leander Paes. V.M.Ranjit, Vijayant Malik and Purav Raja were the other members of the team. S.P.Mishra will be the non-playing captain while Zeeshan Ali will be the coach. The eight revolting players were given time by noon today to confirm their availability, but none of them budged from their stand. In India's most recent Davis Cup tie, the team had beaten New Zealand 5-0 with young players such as Yuki Bhambri, Vishnu Vardhan, Divij Sharan and Sanam Singh in the absence of stars like Somdev Devvarman, Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna.
