Leaders stress upon new approaches for ASEAN, BBN nations

In Assam, on the second day of the Global Investors Summit today, industries and country leaders stressed upon new visionary approaches for more closer cooperation among India and ASEAN and BBN (Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal) nations. In several sessions held today, Assam's Act East Policy Affairs Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary highlighted overpotentials of more and more investment and trade scopes in the state and Northeast from ASEAN and BBN countries.<br/><br/>While referring the latest figures, the officials today claimed that the State has received 65,186 crore rupees investment commitments, whereas 176 MoUs with 160 companies signed on the 1st day of the Investors' Summit.<br/>In the summit, a Plenary session, on "North East India's Economic ties with ASEAN & BBN" is being held. In the plenary session, Mr. Chandra Mohan Patowary, state Minister for Act East Policy Affairs, Mr. Kenich Yokoyama, country Director of ADB, Mr. Dato Ramesh Kodammal, Co-Chairman of ASEAN-India Business Council, Mr. Amitabh Kant, NITI Aayog CEO and Ministers from ASEAN and BBN nations are deliberating on various aspects on the issue. <br/><br/>
