Leaders attending the Second India-Africa Summit at Addis Ababa in Ethiopia have stressed the importance of firming strategic partnership. They have pitched for reforming international institutions of governance and finance. AIR correspondent covering the Summit, reports that leaders from Burundi and Namibia who participated in a morning session said the establishment of various capacity building institutions will reinforce Africa's efforts towards attaining the Millennium Development Goals. The Prime Minister of Namibia, Nahar Angula said, since the first Summit in New Delhi, the African region has recorded remarkable gain in economic growth. The Summit will conclude Wednesday afternoon after adopting the Addis Ababa declaration which will outline steps to counter terrorism piracy and measures to strengthen the partnership for mutual benefit. A draft of the Addis Ababa declaration circulated among member nations states that it is imperative to carry out comprehensive reform of the UN system. The draft declaration said that partnership is a true manifestation of south south cooperation.
