Leaders of opposition parties today met in Parliament over demonetisation and the continued logjam in both the Houses over the issue and decide that they will continue to pitch for their demand of discussion under rule 56 in Lok Sabha.However, the government wants discussion under rule 193 which does not entail voting. <br/><br/>Opposition has been demanding Prime Minister Narendra Modi's presence in the Rajya Sabha during debate on demonetization. <br/> <br/>Meanwhile, talking to media outside Parliament, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said, the government is keen to hold debate in both the Houses. He said, government is reaching out to opposition so that Parliament can transact its proceedings smoothly. <br/><br/>When asked about the logjam in Rajya Sabha, BSP chief Mayawati said, her party favours debate in the House but Prime Minister should come and must listen to the views of the members.<br/><br/>Replying to a media query on survey which showed massive support to demonetization, Ms Mayawati said she does not agree with the outcome of the survey and termed it as sponsored.
